In July 2009, our family adopted two older children from Ethiopia. Life has, and will never be the same again. Certainly, bare feet are needed for this holy ground.

If you clicked your way over to my blog as an “interested in adoption” person, I invite you to visit my old blog: teamdragovich. I began that blog over two years ago, as a way to connect with other adoptive parents while walking the long, horribly rocky adoption road. It also served as a forum for family and friends to understand the adoption process and where we stood in it.

Some posts of particular interest for new adoptive families:

Meeting our children for the first time

Emotions while in Ethiopia

First full day home

Reflections about Ethiopia

One month home

Turning Point

Our adoption and Outliers

Building Compassion for my adopted children

Responsibility to my adopted children

Consequences of Ethiopia’s new policies

Bonding with my daughter
